Identify classic my classic wheels

I've got a set of these wheels on my GT Junior


I've recently bought some Cromodora's to go on there and will be selling the old ones but I don't know much about them. A while ago someone managed to identify them on AlfaBB from this old brochure


So it looks like their Dunlop Formula D4
I'm sure I've seen these on 70's MG's and possibly Scimitars? Question is, I'd like to expand it to the best possible market when trying to flog them so can anyone confirm if these are the same ones used on MG's etc. and anyone know of any other makes that will widen my audience when listing.

There are quite a few tables floating around the internet listing the PCD, bore and ET for various models. You have to look a bit harder for classics rather than Citroen Saxos, but they are out there. Then it will be a case of matching them up...start with PCDs which are quite common but the other parameters might not be

although they look a bit like the first Rostyle design that went on Midgets they are not if they are Dunlop made

Rostyle is for Rubery Owen style wheels, Ruben Owen is the manufacturer, surprisingly still going

the Rostyle wheels are 13" with 4" PCD but I've no idea of offset etc.

This was the option fit on early Se5 Scimitar GTE, commonly known as "Princess Anne Alloys" in Scimitar circles - a google search will pop up a few images. Not to be confused with the option fit on later Se5a which were a composite Chrome/Alloy rim made by GKN.

That's true, but Rubery Owen closed down their manufacturing plants in the 80s and have become a "services" company.

I think the first GTE her mum bought her had a set (a full option list car most likely) and the name stuck.

Might just be me, but the studholes look to have been filed out as they don't look round to me?

Your pcd on the giulia is 4x108mm, the wheels should have an ET of around 30-40mm, but might be different.

The 4x108 pcd is the same as old school fords, upto early 90's,

on the 'mark II' Midget Rostyles you can get ovalling from over tightening the wheel nuts, they only tighten to 45lbft and most owners don't check the Driver's Handbook to find this information and garages and tyre places have their torque wrenchs set to 70lbft as a matter of course

or wrong size Rostyles are fitted

They must really have gone to town on that options list, it's got THREE wing mirrors!

Don't think the OP's got ovalled bolt holes there, think there's a plastic centre cap fitted. HRH's GTE has a smaller alloy centre cap.

I don't think there is any ovalling on mine, although I'd never heard of that. The third pic down isn't my wheel it's a library pic that someone used to identify mine but I do see what you mean on that one.
Mine ave a metal centre cap on.

Anyone know what became of Anne's Scimitar? Is it languishing at Buck House somewhere under an old dust sheet with about 20,000 on the clock?
