Hello PH members
As per the title really. Will be leaving Stansted Airport Parking about 745-8AM on a Monday morning, and looking to get to Aylesbury as quickly as possible. Obviously, the normal route would involve M11 Southbound, then M25 anticlockwise to the Kings Langley junction and then A41. Are the M11 and M25 likely to be chock a block at those times? An alternative route I looked at involves cross country Bishops Stortford, Ware, Hertford, Hatfield, Hemel Hempstead, then A41 to Aylesbury. Anyone got any input on this? Much appreciated
thanks guys thumbup

Unfortunately you're heading across the top of London in the middle of the rush hour- everywhere will be busy. The M25 will be stationary from j19 to j take your choice- you may just get off before the queue starts.

You could try A120 west to A10, A10 North to A 507, A507 towards Baldock. Take the last small turn left just before Baldock towards Clothall/Weston. Join the A 505 by J9 M1, then follow A505 to Luton, join M1 at J10, go up to J11 and take the A505 west to Dunstable, then take B489/B488 to Tring and the A41.

It could be just as crap as the M way routes which I'd be tempted to stick with.

The M11 south to M25 will be bad, as will the M25 west from the M11 through the road works, until you get past the Potters Bar junction.
Once past there, it shouldn't be too bad.
The M25 around the western section starts getting bad around the junction you are coming off at for the A41, and once on there it should be OK until you actually get to the edge of Aylesbury.
