Masters without the research module

I have the attention span of a Goldfish and I would like to know if there is anyway I can avoid the research module and make up the points with modules.......

What do you want your Masters in?

There are different ways to tackle the 60 credit dissertation stage, some of them more suitable for shorter attention spans / strategic learners than others.

It's podiatric surgery. I tackled the other modules without a problem but my capacity to tackle the research would be an absolute nightmare.
Thanks for that, I'll build up a case and present it to the uni. I'll also do a case study for my journal if successful as I can't be the only one who struggles with attention.....

Which course is it?

There are different approaches to a dissertation - although this is undergrad soc sci it might be useful:

It's usually possible to find a topic, research questions and approach which maintain a student's motivation and work within the way they would like to.

The trouble I have as well is accessing relevant research material. I'm not in theatre ATM (I won't bore you with the details) so a viable piece of research would need access to patients and records. The only piece of research which interested me as well was from a psychological perspective which gave my previous tutor a nasty nervous tick ( assessing/anticipating post surgical pt outcome using HDS which apparently the ethics commity would have a field day with).

A research module is designed to give you the skills to undertake evidence based practice in the future. That fact that you think it will be a challenge is good enough reason to give it a go some would say. Your Uni may also insist upon it to maintain their academic standing. Good luck!
