Anyone know of a site or list anywhere of 911 specifications, namely power and performance details ?

Particularly for a 1983 911 ?

Had a look round the usual search engines, but couldn't find anything .... do you KNOW how many web sites come up if you enter "porsche 911 specifications" ?!?

Thanks !
Nev

Nev, it's not a website sorry mate, but a quick shufty in the back of GT Purely Porsche will tell you exactly what you're looking for.

And the rest of the mag is a cracking read too. Not a DIY mag like 911 & PW, but v good quality.

Agreed, good site, but incomplete.

996 section falls way short (no GTx or Turbo models) and where's my Boxster S ?

Can't have been updated in a while... then again, it has the compression ratio and rear track of a 1991 C2RS, so I'm happy

True. How's the car then Domster ? You've had her a week or so now, so what are your impressions thus far ?

I think he's very impressed Greg - judging from the way he was licking it for 13½ hours on Saturday!!!

Only kidding Mr C, looks great now it's had a bit of spit and polish and doesn't drive too badl;y either.

Impressions are much the same as earlier thread on the subject ('C2RS ' here at last'). I have got used to the speed already (coming from a Lotus Carlton didn't help!) but the handling is so amazing I get more impressed with every mile I travel. I need to now stop being impressed before I find myself through a hedge backwards!

It is zymoled now, and looks v good, although it did take most of Sat to do...

Hmmm, not bad for an enthusiast site, but he is quite subjective and gets his facts wrong. Re the C2RS (my specialist subject at the moment) he says it was 50kgs lighter, which is bollocks. That may be true of an RS America, but the typical euro spec RS is a full 150kgs lighter...

Hi Richard

I will be doing a trip to Cambridge in it at some point, so I'll send you an email when I have more details. One weekend probably. Then you can have a proper look over it etc.

Cheers
Domster

try www.rennlist.org, info is bound to be there somewhere.

I have a scanned version of the Porsche tech spec manual if you want me to mail you direct, although it may be Americanised (about 5mb)
