Accident - noone hurt..but my God STR8 Six are amazing
Discussion
Just came off the A3 onto the M25anticlockwise - upon leaving the roundabout on to the m25 slip road lost traction at the back - I was barely accelerating but alas the car started fishtailing - 3 pendulum motions later the car went all the way around and the front end unfortunately collided with the side on its way to face the opposite direction. I was probably going a grand total of 15mph =/ No one else involved in the accident.
Anyhow - this isn't about my inability to drive in the wet - or if it caught a bump/standing water or whatever, either way in future it'll be dry weather only for me! - I rang mannings to report it but got a message to call back on Monday..
So I called Jason from str8 six on his mobile - I'd used them for servicing the car and was blown away with how great they are - and as I'd want them to do the repair work it made sense to get it to them if possible. They were amazing, I mean Mark from the team came to pick up the car in the van even though he wasn't even meant to be working - and was just brilliant about the whole thing.
Hoping I'll be able to get it all fixed before the April meet!
Anyhow just thought I'd share as I always think it's good to hear about people you can depend on and if I can help his business in any way by spreading the word, then I'd like to.
Cheers guys - and be super safe if you are driving in the wet.
Oh and another tidbit of advice that is probably obvious but wasn't to me apparently- my wife had pulled over on the hard shoulder and had the hazards on while we waiting for him to arrive - after they left we went to leave - battery had gone flat and the car wouldn't start so then we had to wait for the AA.
Ahh what a day! =)

Can only but agree with your view of Jason and the team...simply put...they care! The car will be as good as new in a month or so!
Jason & Mark are ex factory lads, TVR runs through their veins. Can't get better service than that. And my sentiments about your P and J, the main thing no one was hurt and if you can get the car back ready for the Burghley meet, that will be great, good luck. Mark
Went past the scene at approx 13:15. Saw the car stopped, then saw the front end!!! Oh dear. At least no one hurt. Amazingly, many years ago, a guy at work bought a TVR ( type unknown). Anyway, he had exactly the same type of accident on his way home from collecting it!!! Unfortunately, there was a ditch at the side of the road, and he inverted it!
Bummer, if its any consolation for a very stressful day I smacked my Chim in a similarly soft but damaging bump!!!
Long story short, Mannings were great, have a look at my profile pic of engine bay, I added a couple of bob and sorted the car in one foul swoop.
Lookiing at your car its lovely,,,,,,, I hope this gives you some solice.

I feel I must share my experience of Jason with the masses. I had a problem with my Tuscan at 6.30am on a Sunday whilst in Spain and I never thought he would answer at that hour when I sent a text of the issues to him. I could not believe it when he replied and after a few exchange text messages the problem was resolved. I could not thank him enough for saving the holiday as it had just started typically.
Top man.

So sorry to hear about your incident. I am just glad that nobody got hurt. I had a similar accident but with worse outcome. I too went to Jason and he went for an extra mile and sorted out everything for me. Mind you that I was not even his customer at the time and didn't pay him a penny. Unfortunately, my Tuscan was a write off. At the same time Jason had a lovely red rose with a newly rebuilt engine for sale at the time. I guess I don't have to tell you what happened next. Once I had my cheque came though from the insurance. I told Jason that I was taking that red rose home. The rest is history as they say. Now the car only goes to one place for services.... Just have a wild guess where!!!
Possible positive to come out of this - if the front end is a write off, have you considered upgrading the front to Mark 2 spec, or whatever you Tuscanites call it? The spec with the much better aerodynamics and cooling, just nowhere to grate your cheddar.....
Presumably the insurers will cover most of the cost.....

Methinks that Jason will know exactly how much it will cost to do either spec, and might be willing to speak to the assessor when he arrives. Might all be irrelevant anyway if it is possible to repair the existing panels.
You residents of Tuscany will correct me if i am wrong, but I have a feeling that the mark 2 front was introduced to resolve issues caused by TVR's policy (pre-Sagaris) of letting early owners sort out their production and design issues.
Ask a straight question....they can always say no.
And the OP might prefer his cheddar full of fly-squashes for all I know. The pic on his profile looks lovely.

Yep - I've always been a fan of the unique bullet hole grill front and the spider eye headlights - so would want it back to how it was anyhow =)
I would like to change the two plastic light covers to glass though if possible so will see if that's a small mod that could be done - plus it's an opportune time to fit those xenon light bulbs that have been sitting in my boots for ages now!
