How many hours do you work a week?

I'm currently working anything between 50 and 55 hours a week and I'm curious as to what the average PH'er works a week compared to me.

So, what hours do you work?

40 hours is what I'm contracted to, but usually end up doing a few lates (for free )
Unless I'm travelling, then it's whatever it is (usually 5am drive to Heathrow).

I will easily average 72 - 12hr days mon-sat.

If busy can easily do 16-18hr days. One of the problems of building a business

Averages out at 48, but due to the farcical shift pattern we work it can be up to 68 for me including college.

I work offshore where it's 12 hour days so 84 a week officially. Usually more like 100+ though.
Of course this is only 2 weeks out of 5 so it's not that bad really.

For the last ten years my job has been 37.5 hours per week (with some occasional overtime).

My first full time job was 37 hours, 9:00-5:30 Monday to Thursday and 9:00-5:00 on Friday (POETS day). We all gave an extra half hour as the pubs didn't open until 5:30 in those days.

In the intervening years I've had jobs where you put in the time required and the remuneration was much higher.

I now enjoy a work/life balance with the weight on life.

I work onshore and do 60+ but its up to me how many I work.

Overtime money is double time and I'm pretty greedy since I bought my new car last week haha.

48 hour week, but averaged over a 3 week rotation. Shifts as well.

31.25 at my day job, plus whatever I can give for my voluntary job, average around 70 hours a month for that (mixture of shifts).

At the very least 48. Closer to 60 if I do a few jobs in the evening. If I work a Sunday I'll be getting close to 70.

I usually have a bit to do when I get home too. The joys of being self employed!

I'm on a 50 hour contract, it takes me 10 minutes to get to work from my door so I normally do at least a couple of hours overtime a day. I used to work up the city and do a minimum 2 hours commuting a day, so I'm more than happy to be doing 60+ hours a week and be paid for all of it, and not fork out £2k+ on trains.
