Has anyone ever had a problem with their trip computer on a 996..?

Driving yesterday, I noticed the green cruise light activate itself which I turned off.
When I got home I noticed the trip computer had 'frozen' on range and the control stalk did nothing..? I've just tried disconnecting the battery, to see if it 'resets' it but it didn't work and it's still frozen, and I can't scroll thro' temp / MPG / range / oil level etc.

Is there a reset button anywhere..? or a hard reboot fix which generally works on most computers..!

I've no idea if its relevant, but the battery tray was under water so I cleared the 4 drain holes while I was in there.

You can try rebooting the PCM, just press all together 2,4 and 8 on the number pad. Cannot remember if you have to do this when it is turned off and turn it on when you are depressing the keys or if it will just work when on. Give it a go and let us know how you get on.
Hope it solves the error for you.

Ah, mines had a PCM swap out, so it's got a Kenwood head unit/Nav that works, with Blue teeth and Ipodery.. so that possible fix is out of reach.

It has never missed a beat before now, I'm just wondering if the damp has got into something.
