arse bye bye undertray
Discussion
went through a rather large puddle ( small pond imo ) and shortly after heard a rubbing noise.
found that I'd managed to split the rear plastic under tray.
I've removed the remains from one side and I'll pop the rest of the bits off the other side when it stops raining.
99650412901 is the part number but I am struggling to find a decent diagram of how it fits to the car.
I'm assuming ( please correct me if I'm wrong here ) that as long as I remove the loose broken bits the lack of the under tray wont affect the daily drivability of the car ( nothing over nsl speeds and no planned autobahn runs )
A new one is £60 ish so no big deal but I need to gain acess to some ramps to fit it.

I did exactly the same earlier in the year; I took it to my local indie and they screwed a new one on whilst I waited. Apparently it's just a screw on job, but the existing screws will probably have rusted to uselessness and may need some persuasion to get out.
ETA: but yes, I was told that as long as I kept it under 150 the aerodynamics of the car shouldn't be too badly affected, just don't bang the gearbox on anything whilst it's missing.
