Bradgate park near Loughborough good walk with some amazing stag roaming about. (car park full of diggers after dark if your thing), bradgate asylum nearby for an explore if that's your thing. For food Loughborough loads of restaurants including an Aussie bar with kangaroo burgers. Also second the donnington car collection.

Braggy Park is a really nice place!I sat at the top of Old John with a beer one night in the summer and it was awesome.
Considering the weather is awful, my vote is anything indoors.
Donnington museum, loads to do in the snow dome and over the road , bowling.
I know bowling sounds a bit kids activity, I took my son there on a whim and I enjoyed it after not bowling for years.
Lichfield has some nice resturants, the Spanish resturant is nice if it's still there.
Don't mind the crap weather and want more sport like activity ?
Get up Cannock chase and hire some decent mountain bikes ( or take your own) for a thrash round follow the dog/monkey trail. Take a change of clothes.

Sealife centre doesn't last that long for the money, how about the Think Tank at millennium point?
You could have a look at the new Birmingham library and also the swanky new Marco Pierre White restaurant at the top of the cube building in the mailbox.
In the mailbox you have Harvey Nichols if you want to get some nice designer gear.
Check out the new bull ring and have lunch in the Bacchus bar at the bottom of the Burlington hotel it's like you are in Windsor castle!
Watch a movie or go bowling, laser quest etc at Star City.
Have a look at the old back to back houses at the national trust centre next to the hippodrome theatre.
Have a walk round the nice touchwood shopping centre in Solihull, John Lewis etc.
Lots to do in Brum, it's far from s
t that everybody thinks!

Two places spring to mind. One depends on which way you use to get to Tamworth and whether you'd consider varying from what I'd consider the route you'd take( M4-M5, M42) , to get across to The Heritage motor centre at Gaydon ( off the M40) .The other is at the junction of the A45 and the M42, National Motorcycle Museum.
