GFOS on Saturday, Supercar Sunday on errr, Sunday and I've seen more exotica this weekend than you could shake a stick at. And to cap it all the sun came out, I remembered why I have a convertible and I found some empty roads.

Been racing at Lydden. Weather was fantastic, most of my mates were racing too and I finished in 3rd place with a trophy!!!
Another fabulous day at Lydden!

Jas.

P.S. Was it a fellow PH'er' who did a parade lap in a dark blue Chimp with a boot spoiler?

Ted,

Is there going to be a special PistonHeads stand at Rockingham next weekend?? Just wondering if you do that sort of thing...will get my named Union Jack sticker...just in case...

Fab weekend, superb weather. Found some Berkshire roads today that were seemingly abandoned! Ah...the open road, sunshine, wind in your hair, that luvvly burbling noise

There's not (one day ), but make your way to the paddock and say hello to some of the Tuscan teams who are always happy to welcome PH readers: CDL Racing, Hawthorns, Top Cats, Thames Valley Racetech.

Fantastic blast down to the coast(Milford on Sea) on Saturday for a bit of sea fishing - wonderful weather, wonderful drive, wonderful car!! Boot full of Mackerel on the way home!! Oh the open road and a 4.5 Chimaera - LOVE IT!!

By the way Ted how about a section purely dedicated to "spotting" - I have seen so many TVR`s this weekend in my local area and would like to try and see if any of them are Pistonheads - so I can make further contact?? Seems like a good idea to me!!

All the best

Great weekend, but mostly non-motoring.

Took myself right back to the 80s by going to see Level 42 crank out "a string of knackered old hits" to quote Mark King. Bloody great it was too This was in the Circus Tavern in Purfleet: a place that looks like it profits through a heady cocktail of cocaine dealing, kneecappings and contract killings. (That was humour, before the lawyers get itchy. The reality is far more humdrum: club nights and table dancing...)

Saturday was spent polishing the trunions, with someone coming to look at the car late afternoon. Got one top down blast out of the day at least.

Today was mostly spent sitting outside in my garden enjoying the sunshine. Topped it off with a gorgeous fillet steak from the local farmshop.

Ah, the simple things.

Damn, was Supercar Sunday at Gaydon ? That's only about 10 miles from me. And I could have gotten to shake Mr P. Ted's hand. Oh well, next time

Shopping Saturday, then chill out on the deck Saturday night (was it a fabulous sunset or what ?) Yesterday washed both cars and then read the papers. Oh, and took the Boxster out for a blat late afternoon. Marvellous. And this glorious weather is set to continue, n'est-ce pas ?

I took the S3 to Suffolk to see freinds, roof down for all 270 miles, avoided the motorways and had a ball.

Didnt see any TVRs on route, but saw a fab red SV8 parked in a village near where I was staying (Bacton?)

Much better weekend this time.

Went to the Fat Boy Slim gig on Brighton beach. The gig was crap with a woefully inadequate sound system and far more people than the authorities realised would turn up, did.

Nevertheless, it was a good opportunity to get drunk and stagger around the beach with mrs CarZee on my shoulders so she could grab a view of old Norm spinning the discs.

Didn't crash a car this weekend, which was a result.

Laughed at the wife as she got horribly sunburnt on Sunday.

Watched Rally Report on Channel 4 with more beer.

Top weekend in all

Top weather, top weekend.

Made me laugh pulling out of Gaydon just after a Lambo Diablo who's owner did his best Ronnie-Revit impression to impress the crowds.

Fired up the Wedge and heard the comment - "Blimey, that makes the Lambo sound a bit bland"

I was also one of the 200,000 people that struggled to get onto Brighton beach to see Fat Boy Slim. I couldn't actually get close enough to the stage to even see the screen clearly which to be honest was a bit crappy.

The two fine females that kept me company more than made up for it though!

GFOS on Saturday, unscheduled lock-in up the pub Saturday night. Something to do with no taxis being available due to some jumped up mobile disco on Brighton beach . But I'm not complaining.

Blast out in the Marcos for Sunday lunch up the pub. Back home to lay in the garden, before going round a friend's house for BBQ and more beer.

Does life get any better?

Fab weekend!! GFOS on fri for first time great event. and my sypathies to the guy in the F40 who tried to overtake us on the A272 on the way there, only for the car to go sideways into a concrete fence post, shoot accross our nose sideways in to the other bank and then limp to a layby. the joys of a 400+ hp car and damp roads. for managing to avoid hitting us!!

Top weekend !

Saturday at GFOS for the first time. Met up with John Bull for a couple of beers and then sat around watching the cars.

Most special though had to be seeinng the rotoary Norton with Trevor Nation aboard. Thats the bike that got me into watching so much bike sport. Seeing the Tuscan R go up the hill was pretty damn good aswell.

Sunday was then spent at the British GP at Donington to watch Rossi take the victory again. Robbed of a great race by Checa falling but the racing mid pack was superb.

Only naff bit was that Donington stopped the field from doing a victory lap (with Rossi they ae evntful ) and additionally to that the fact it took 7 hrs, yes 7 hrs to get home. My parents walked off the bank the same time as me and were in North Norfolk before I got out of the car park !!!

Roof off all weekend. Excellent drive to and from Goodwood. Very fast run upto Donington and then some goob bits on the way home.

Cheers

Mark

Excellent weekend, Chemsford police skidpan on Saturday with MidEssex TVRCC, few beers in the evening. GFOS on Sunday and as "billb" said FANBLOODYTASTIC, we took the coastal route home all the way via Hastings then home to Leigh on Sea, waving to several TVR's on the way. Only downer it took over an hour to drive through Brighton, and the debris that was left after Norman's gig. And a great drive into work today, downhill now till 6.
