No Rear or Side Lights
Discussion
Hi All
All of a sudden lost rear, side and number plate lights. Brake, fog and reverse all ok as with main beam. All fuses check out ok and relays. Took the cowling off and at the PCB plug which is connected to light switch via ribbon cable, 3rd pin down I have 12v and with 1 turn of switch for side lights 12v becomes 0v, and 4th pin down 12v becomes 0v with 2nd turn for main lamps.
If i then short between 4th pin and bottom pin bypassing switch, i can turn main lights on, but 3rd pin to bottom pin nothing.
I hope i am clear on this, but not being an auto sparks my head is starting to hurt. Any ideas amyone.
Any way Merry christmas to everyone have a good one

So if you pull on the indicator stalk you can put the main beams on, but you can't get sides alone using the rotary switch?
If so that was the issue I had recently. I ended up moving the indicator stalk and switch to all possible combinations and felt for any relays that weren't firing on the final PCB. I got some replacements for the ones that weren't firing and after a bit of soldering I managed to get them up and running again.
Second page in this thread shows the relays I replaced.

I hope you find an easier solution, but that worked for me.

Basically yes, I think push stalk forward to get high beam and pull for flash. Just simply 1 turn on rotary switch for sidelights and no work. 2 turns for main beam and all fine. So it seems like a relay on the PCB. was it a difflicult job getting it all out, it looked a mare to me earlier all the PCBs together, would not know where to start.
