I picked up my S1.5 yesterday at the port, which is a 600 mile round trip. It wouldn't start in Southampton so it was towed on and off the boat with no damage at all, which is a relief. I thought maybe I'd be able to start it to get it on the trailer but it was having none of it. After a lot of flooding, I replaced the distributor cap, rotor arm, leads and cleaned the plugs, then she fired up. A bit smokey, but it's been sitting and got badly flooded, soon cleared up except it now has black smoke when I rev it up. I'm going to search and see what controls enrichment and get the ohm meter out. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good place to start? It's the 2.9 BTW (my first).

hi i have the same problem wont run right upside downlooks a nice car in the right blue to. a good engine warm up works wonders hope all goes well

Fixed! Now it runs like a charm! Actually, the coolant sensor is on the blink, which probably explains the rich running.

Hi David , thats great you got the new S , sorted out ...
I guess 2014 will gett you sniffing around the S 2 , ( I'm watching you)..
Mind you the more cars that disappear from old blighty will help the understated S to show it's real value..
