Hopefully this is a very easy question, but as I didn't take the car apart I don't have a reference whilst putting it back together...

I think the front brake calipers have been put back on the wrong sides, as the bleed nipple is pointing downwards and I think it should be pointing upwards, photos I've found on various threads seem to confirm this but just want to be sure before swapping them over.

This is how they were set up when I bought it.

They are definitely upside down. Bleed nipples should be at top. Ask Steve J hehe it'll never be forgotten Steve but at least you are not alone anymore

That was my reckoning as-well, but I'm learning very quickly to 'never assume anything' when it comes to TVR's

Thanks for confirming

I know, it makes perfect sense... but so far every time I done anything on the car that seems logical it hasn't been anything like logical

This is how there were when I bought the car, caliper on but no pipes etc. and it only when you start looking in detail that you get the 'hang on a second' moments

Fully understand was just pointing out the difference in the photos that'll show you the error of the previous owner on yours. There are also pictures that show the correct way up on my website www.gbsportscar.com

HelloSteve wavey Bought a chim which has had a full chassis, wishbones, suspension and brakes restoration, new hood and rear screen.

It`s a different drive altogether to my S, a smoother less bouncy ride, but still very entertaining wink

Steve,
Your nipples are not very pronounced in that photo, please could you splash some cold water on them, go outside, & take another pic.
Just so we know what we're up against.
yikes

Ebay, or if you ever find yourself in Birmingham the guys at Nutters are very helpful and will sell any quantity you want.
