Park and Ride - Aylesbury

I am changing jobs in the new year and my commute will be growing quite a lot. Currently it is 6.5 miles and it will be changing to 42 miles. I still want to try and get some riding to work in but I think 84 miles a day may a bit too much.
Aylesbury is about halfway between. I am thinking about driving to there with the bike on the roof, then cycling the rest of the way.
Does anyone know of somewhere in Aylesbury where I can safely (and for free) park my car for the whole day?

Loads of on-road free parking if you don't need central Aylesbury, which you don't.
I do a lot of riding in this area.
The ride from Aylesbury to Amersham using the direct route is the A413, you won't get any pleasure riding that every day. You could make a better but slightly longer route though avoiding this, including a couple of tasty climbs.

Ta muchly. I currently ride through central MK every day including a stint on the A421, or death alley as I like to call it, so am used to riding on A roads. I would prefer to find a more scenic route though and some climbs would be good.I do a lot of riding in this area.

It's also 10 miles shorter. You'll find loads of places to dump the car on the back roads. See it all the time.

It does look good thanks. The A5 is a bit hairy to ride down but the A505 and roads coming off that are very quiet.
The A505 is really flat and really wide. Good for a bit of impromptu TT'ing.
Actually at 33 miles that isn't too scary about doing the full distance, at least not in the summer. Would probably take about just under 2 hours each way.

MK to Aylesbury works out at about 20 - 22 miles if you come via stoke Hammond & wing and its definitely not a bad ride...
There's a loooong list of alternate routes as well.
I'd be tempted to leave the car in Aylesbury and ride the leg from there home - and visa versa.
Having said that I don't know any of the roads amersham way....
