Here's a brand new one:

Not cheap, mind!
You really want the PSE1, but one of these two should fit:

Needs a clean and a rebuild, but that's an easy job, and somewhere like Canley Classics will sell you the rebuild kit.

What's the problem with the existing one?
Also make sure the battery is the correct polarity, that the centrifugal advance in the distributor isn't seized, that the vacuum advance is working, and the timing is correct. Heralds don't have timing marks only top dead centre marks - timing needs to be say 1/2 inch before TDC marks.

Problem with the existing one is that it is leaking fuel. 2 weeks ago I drove the car & noticed a slight leak. Now it wont start and the car is leaking very badly, so I assume that's the problem causing the non starting. I have a spark etc, it will fire occasionally but then dies and there is fuel everywhere!

I think I would buy a rebuild kit and have a go myself. Sounds like a stuck or leaking float valve.Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
