PH cycle jersey thread - disappeared!

A few minutes ago there was a thread up here asking "would you buy a PH cycle jersey".
By the time I'd composed a reply, it refused my submission, showing up as "sorry - thread closed"
A nugget of hope, that dim light at the end of the long tunnel. Cruelly extinguished by 'the powers that be'. C'mon Mr Garlick, Le Mans was a long time ago. There are many of us who'd buy a new jersey if one was offered for sale, but there has been a deafening silence from above. Please tell us that there is something in the pipeline, and that the previous poster "eybic" who described himself as "Mr Garlick's teaboy" simply let the cat out of the bag a little too early. Please!

Eybic is my new 'able assistant' and while I was sleeping off a hangover (at least I'm honest) he jumped the gun a little with that post and I removed it (and demanded he performed a tea run too). Not his fault, he was only being keen.
Allow me to explain...
We met with the merchandise supplier yesterday, cycling tops were mentioned and we have asked them to look at adding them as a stock item next year. Good news. We know you want them, so there isn't any need to ask you again.
However what we will do is allow the supplier to have some thinking time on how this could work, to find a manufacturer who can make MTB and road jerseys to the required quality, to think about price point and to devise an easy to follow sizing structure etc etc
Once we have that in place we will announce in more detail (I can't see much happening before Feb next year) and we'll share some designs too as well as allowing you to submit some ideas of your own.
Hope that clears it up a bit

It is absolutely not your fault and i'm not blaming you for anything. This has been shambolic for quite some time. Do not allow yourself to be or be viewed as the fall guy on this. You have nothing in my opinion to apologise for.
Thank you however for confirming my perception of garliks post. Expectation setting has not been a strong point of his it must be said.

As said before, the honest answer is while it's always on our list of things we'd like to do, running the place on a small team means it slips while other things take priority. Shambolic maybe, but sadly true when other priorities take our time. There's loads we'd like to do, Nathan's appointment is designed to give more hands to the job so we might actually be able to do some of the fun stuff we want to do
No post should have been made today, we don't have much to say and I wanted to wait until we did. Nathan posted, I removed it and then commented a to why I removed it with an update.
What I said was true and, rather than try and do it ourselves, we've (finally) handed it to the experts who are looking at the best way of fulfilling.
