Turbo S fastest car ever (to get dirty)
Discussion
My 991 turbo S is by far the quickest car I have ever had....not to drive, but to be totally engulfed by crap off the road. Seriously I am having to clean the rear number plate every 50 miles or so. My 997 Turbo S was almost as bad. I can't seem to remember any other 911 having such a vacuum effect.
Has anyone tried driving their 997 or 991 turbo with the rear spoiler permanently extended to see whether this reduces somewhat the magnitude of the effect?

Hmmm, good advice. Leave it stealth.
It is my daily driver. Compared with 997 I would say the most obvious thing (apart from the interior etc) is how compliant/refined it is on the road. I remember the 997 being a lot harsher although it was a couple of years ago since I sold it. Straight line speed similar as you would expect but traction is better and generally the car is a lot more composed. PDK is faster and the sound is improved. To be honest I have only had the car 3 weeks and it is on winter tyres so haven't really had a chance to test absolute cornering grip yet. Brakes are awesome but seem to be too much on occasion for my soft winter front tyres.

Hi IMA, my son arranged the purchase, from Super Coupes in Aldermarston they had been on a showroom car GT2 .
They are not standard in that sprayed frozen grey with a stainless rim protector . Have always been reluctant to change from stock wheel but my wheels needed refurbing due to the centre cap removal at tyre changes causing lacquer damage. We did a bit of man maths
and decided these gave the best look. Only have a couple of poor phone snaps taken in a force 8 storm but will post them up.
I believe Porsche shop have them on their web page

Dont think those are OE, similar but better imo. these are BBS CH a classic wheel been around for donkeys. Look stunning in gunmetal and the rear wheel is drool worthy
that dish effect!
Spot on , like you say the rear dish effect is cool. These wheels came from Super coupes who had them on a GT2 ( now sold) they had them painted ice grey and fitted a stainless rim protector . The GT 2 wheels were replaced by some specially made at a cost of 9K
