Need gears on my winter fixed wheel...

Live in Huddersfield, which is very hilly.
Work at Stansted, around which is very flat.

Should I gear up for Huddersfield, currently a 42-14, or man up with a 52-16?

Or buy another winter fixed wheel bike.

Or ride a bike with gears, like normal people?

Get a bike with gears but only change gear when you journey between the two locations.

I won't be able to reach the shifters from the van seat though, I suppose I could stop at the services and do it there.
