Funny that, I was just about to post and ask exactly the same.
Maybe someone got defensive re the relative merits...Hey-ho, we should be big boys now!

I was thinking the same too.

I like both cars, but they are not comparable IMO they do different jobs.

I posted the thread, had no idea it had been deleted. Just came here to see it.

It is rather a shame if people got childish about it. If I thought a Tuscan was the same as a 996 I wouldn't be looking to change!

<EDIT> According to PH it was simply removed because it didn't abide by the rules. Nevermind. It's in the classifieds anyway.

I would imagine most cars have been tucked away for winter now, I gave mine its last drive before christmas and now there's ice outside!

"Didn't abide by the rules"...What rule did it infringe? I can only assume they thought the thread had been set-up in order to advertise your Porsche?

AAAh! It was the advertising 'bit' that got it removed.

And I thought it was removed because folks were getting tetchy regarding car brands and their foibles. As if - here - on Pistonheads!!

Mmm, quite.

Although, I am slightly confused as to why they have the rule. If I was being cheeky and advertising a car that isn't on PH I could understand, but I have put it on PH and paid them my dues. It isn't as if they are commission based or anything.

I suppose because the forums would be swamped with threads advertising cars - by both individuals and companies - which would obviously be to the detriment of any advertising revenue streams. After all, why pay for an advert if you can just post up an thread advertising your car.

But I'm just guessing thats why....
