Well what can I say!
The first week has been great!

Great Dealership (the best I have experienced in 25 car purchases) Meridien New Forest %100 Perfect Service (seriously)

As far as the car is concerned it has been a real pleasure. I originally wanted to go for a TVR cerb but didnt like the "level" of build quality.

I was really gutted to come home without the car I set my heart on.

However the Maserati was a car i never thought i would own and to see her in the garage is the cherry on the cake !
I have actually gone out to the garage just to check on her ! (how sad is that !)

Seriously , the car is stunning in the looks and performance and I have waited many many years to be in this position and what an experience.
I even find BMW Drivers (not all are bad i know !) sitting back and not tailgaiting anymore ! Previously i had 9 out of 10 bmw up my backside and now its more like 9/10 sit back !
People are friendly when letting you out and wave and I have had the pleasure of putting a few M3's in their place ! (i dont endorse speeding of course ! (-;

Many people not in the know think She is an Aston DB7 or Vanquish ! But they always hear her before seeing her !
Day of delivery was met with 4 neighbours comming out of their houses to see what the noise was !!!!

I love the build of the car, the looks and performance is more than enough.

Down side is the GearBox takes a little getting used to and the seat could do with a softer back support in my humble opinion but even if she breaks down I could not be happier! (honestly)

A Stunning Car and has made my childhood dream happen.
I now have a 430 on order but cannot see me getting rid of this car.

People ask me about fuel economy but I dont know and dont care. All I know is that I dont drink or smoke and if petrol went even higher in price I would not sell this car. I have never owned a car which has made me so happy and am so impressed with the leather interior and the overall build quality.
Personally I do not understand why Maserati have changed the rear lights as this was a major character of the car. I think the new lights look like the honda accord (no offense to new owners of the current model)
Overall I am extremely impressed with the performance, the image and the feel of the car.

When I get out of the car I cant help but look back and even go back out for another drive!

Im sure the initial "thrill" will wear off (honeymoon period)
Two types of people havemade comments on her !
1. Why get a car like that - you should just a normal car!

2. What a Car !!!

I personally dont understand those on who made comment one - Never did and never will - Part of me thinks its Jealously. I always loved nice car and will carry this passion to my grave.

2. The people who like the car got a new experience by been given a ride in her and all "s##t their pants at the acceleration" !!!
Its a good laugh that so many grown men go "quiet" when been a passenger in this car , that is when you show them the 0-60 !.

If my neighbour bought a ferrari I could not be happier but I guess some people cant be happy for those who aspire to a "passionate" car!

Final Note - %100 Happy with my 3200gt
This is never something i would say about my mercs, renaults, 911 etc.

Hope this is of some help to anyone who is thinking of buying a 3200gt.

I'll second the Meridien Modena experience. I've bought my past two cars from this dealership and have nothing but praise for them.

Their service manager Lee Harris (I think that's him) is an absolute gem, something all to rare in these times.

I pick my third Meridien purchase up on Thursday (my Elise), so fingers crossed!!!

Hey it's all great in MaseratiLand - glad you're enjoying the car - as you said for what it is there is very little out there to touch it

Better get yourself along to the meet at HeverCastle on the 21st - see the other thread on this board!

Aye, they're not bad motors are they

Take it easy and avoid sport mode in the wet - still having 'fun' moments when I forget to switch it off in the mornings !

See you at the castle?

It doesnt wear off, it gets better. Ive had mine nearly 4 years and the only reget I have is that I didnt get a red one!

You will get used to the gearbox, its still stiff in the cold but magic on the track when driven hard.

Thinking back I can remember suffering from an aching left arm after the first few long drives but it soon beds in (the arm that is).

Good luck and enjoy it

Excellent - keep us informed on your progress with her! I'm hoping to get one in a years time or so (subject to some hard saving and a job change), and it's posts like these that keep me inspired!

Basically it's a chance to get to put names to faces for various people on the board, check out the other cars (there will be more 3200GTs in one place than anywhere else that day certainly - not to mention some other fabulous metal!).

We'll have to fantastic backdrop of the castle for a phot photos whilst the tyre kicking goes on, then off to the local pub for lunch - then off home again.

Mine does a great back wheel jiggle if I floor the accelerator at 70 on a dual carriageway.

And that's when I'm not in Sports mode!

Is that any kind of accelleration or just 'full bore'?
Wondering whether you've got a loose fuse in the fusebox and somthing is pushing it when you p[ut yer foot down. (Got anything big rolling around in the boot?)

Very odd - not heard of this anywhere

My bootlid open light comes on over 150 - it's the aerodynamic lift I think. I want a nice subtle spoiler like the gransport has please!

Glad you're enjoying yours Maser. I'm in the first month of ownership of an Assetto Corsa and it's the best car I've had.

Haven't quite got the driving position right yet and a niggling problem early on with oil seepage but the dealership put it right straight away and everything else is A1.

Only other complaint is I've spent too much time on busy Motorways to really enjoy it.
