Most comfy cycling shoes?

I finally bought a bike last night, picked up a bargain on a Planet X carbon pro, picture to follow.

Anyway, I've got rheumatoid arthritis and it's most painful in my feet. So I need a recommendation for a really comfy pair of cycling shoes.

What would you guys recommend?

Agree with the above but also to note that you should get some which keep your feet warm in this weather. Mine are really only 3-seasons - some cheap Specialized ones which I love but have a gauze top vent which is too cold in this weather.

If you find some non-winter ones you like, consider some overshoes to keep the wind/water out.

I would go to a shop and try some on. They all fit slightly different.

I use Bont Vaypors with FIZIK 3D FLEX insoles, both shoes and insoles are heat 'mouldable'. It takes a few attempts to get them just right, but eventually you will have a pair of shoes that are about as close to the shape of your foot as possible. The shoes are incredibly stiff and tub shaped so you won't get the sole flex that you experience with other carbon soles.

It's not a cheap option but if you spend a lot of time on your bike I would highly recommend the combo.

I'd have said Bont shoes as well. Never tried them but once moulded to your foot should provide the best fit.

Shimano do a 'wide' version of some of their cycling shoes - might be worth giving those a try? They work for me.

Subjective, but I like Lake shoes, and they offer a wide version too.
