Can anyone here help my father?

Hi Everybody,

Firstly I apologise for posting this and if anyone would like to me remove this then I will immediately.

This is regarding my father, he is 63 and has recently become unemployed. As someone who has never been out of work for his entire career this has hit him pretty hard. He is a mechanical design engineer by trade with many years of experience but is able to turn his hand to anything given the chance.

If any of you know of anyone who would be able to offer him even some part time work, this would help him and his esteem massively.

Any help would be really appreciated by me as I really don’t like seeing him how he is at the moment.

I understand that this is a long shot, and if anyone would like me to remove this then I will happily. I hope I have not offended in any way. Any help that anyone could give would be massively appreciated.

Not much help, but I bought some stuff of ebay from a guy who worked for these guys who are advertising for a field service engineer. From his description it sounded like a good place to work, with progressive attitudes to older workers. Maybe field service is a young mans game but might be worth a try.

Has he considered volunteering in the short term? His local hospital for example would welcome him with open arms I'm sure and he would be supporting others less fortunate than himself. Good luck!
