Forgive my ignorance....quick question with a simple answer!

I know nothing about suspension forks.....in the pic below the bits highlighted that should be attached to the top of the forks appear to have moved upwards.

Does this indicate a problem or is it simply a case of sliding 'em back down again (and screwing them in place I guess?)

I know it's a stupid question....just wanna check

While those forks don't quite match up to the Fox F32s in the article, the dust wiper seal does the same job.

Have a look at this... http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Tech-Tuesday-Clean-an... ...steps 7 & 8 are the ones you want if you just want to re-seat the wiper, and don't feel like it needs a clean.

You will probably find the fork inner leg is dry and unlubed, so it has pulled up the dust seal. Before you push it back on, just run a bit of light oil on the inner leg, so it moves freely and oil occasionally to keep it from wearing the dust seal.
