Frozen Toes - what's the solution?
Discussion

I seem to suffer from cold feet more than your average person.
I have got super warm socks in gortex shoes, and have also used the overshoes before... but my toes still get cold...very cold.
Maybe they are a little too squashed in the shoes....but seem ok.
Has anyone had this problem and managed to solve it?

Toe covers under overshoes (!) works well for me, they're very stretchy a fit okay. I use these but I guess they're all the same really:

I've go the normal ones, not the Arctic versions that are extra warm, and I never suffer with cold feet during the winter. Before this I would always have cold toes no matter what shoes, socks and overshoes I wore.
Yup, I've got the Artic ones, minus 5 this morning and I didn't need my SealSkinz socks I've go the normal ones, not the Arctic versions that are extra warm, and I never suffer with cold feet during the winter. If the socks and shoes result in a VERY tight fit, you'll restrict circulation, which makes them cold. Additionally, your body will keep the torso warm before your extremities, so keeping that warm will improve the chances of your fingers and toes getting some warmth.I seem to suffer from cold feet more than your average person.

When I used to commute through winter on a motorbike, I used to run heated insoles plugged into the bike, you get ones that run on battery packs as well now.
These came as part of a bundle recently and they are good value for money. The stitching looks like it will last the winter. The XL ones fit my size 45 DHB shoes pretty snug

I have those neoprene overshoes from PX (two pairs actually).
They do an OK job but obviously if you are getting them very wet - they stay wet!
For regular mud they are good.
However, I was still struggling last week and I think it was over-tight shoes.
When I changed into some older more knackered loose shoes my toes were a lot happier!

Another +1 on the Northwave Artic Celcius here! That and a pair of Planet X Thicky Merinos are perfect!
