Long shot and tongue in cheek...unless there is a real opportunity! Following on from my 'Losing My Job - Need Advice' thread.

Does anyone need or know of some-one who needs a sales professional with strong IT experience?

Spent the last 5 months working in direct sales for a multi-national software house, is keen, bright and articulate. Previous experience in sales and marketing.

Aviation engineering background, obvious interest in the automotive world.

1...2...3...GO!

Would Bristol be to far to commute? Not sure if there is a direct train but Rolls-Royce Bristol usually have Sap \ MI \ Aviation roles going.

OP - with your aviation engineering background you might want to have a look at engineering jobs within the MOD and specifically Defence Equipment and Support (based in Bristol). I know for a fact that they have an ongoing shortage of qualified engineering staff - especially in the combat aviation area.

If you are interested the website to go on is: www.jobs.civilservice.gov.uk.

As an example of what the jobs pay, there is currently an engineering vacancy with a starting salary of £36,000 plus an £8,000 first appointment allowance for external applicants.
