Thinking of buying a 997 turbo

I have always wanted to have a 911 turbo and recently have started to look for one. I have seen a few '08 plate cars from independents advertised, I would prefer a low mileage, and these seemed around my price range. I then read a couple of threads on here about problems with some dealers and dodgy cars and suddenly started getting cold feet. Any advice welcome about how to protect myself from some of the scenarios described here. Porsche main dealers seem to have a big mark up and are not attractive, and also I visited one a few years ago and did not feel welcome.

visit Leic, they make you feel welcome :-)

don't forget you get 2 years warranty on a OPC car.

If you want piece of mind just stick to the trusted indys like 911 virgin, JZM and RSJ. Some of them do maintenance plans too.

Did the same bought my Boxster S and 997 Turbo from 911V...no problem

Another yes for this, bought mine from 911 virgin, great experience with no issues and if there were you know theyd sort it...oh and the cars pretty good to!
