Popped into my favourite toy shop and the chap who sold me my car mentioned that he'd spent a night in hospital because he was a passenger in a Stradale that was written off by a potential customer. This car was really written off as there was so much damage and it'd take so long to repair. Said chap has not been seen since. I think I'd have bought one just to be able to show my face again.

So who was it?

Yeah, just observation but I don't envy these guys having to hope that the potential customer isn't going to scare them silly.

About 4 - 5 years ago a salesman at Lancasters in Colchester wrote off a Ferrari (forget which model) on a demonstration with a customer.

Surprisingly he kept his job to

talking of test drives going wrong...

my best friend worked for a Morgan dealership in London after graduation, and was taking a customer out in a new Morgan Aero 8. He was driving down Park Lane at some serious lick, and was explaining how amazing the brakes were. Cue lights truning red, Nick slamming the anchors on...and going straight into the car in front. He hit the rear end of a Smart car, the Aero had to go back to the factory for mega repairs, and his garage offered to repair the Smart for free.

Amazingly, he kept his job too. How big a feck up do you have to make, to get sacked?!
