Hi,

I am looking for some advice as to where I can get the back two exhaust back boxes modified on my BMW Z4M. I am looking for a decent place that can remove the back boxes and modify them.

Basically I need someone to take off each back box, drill a hole in the inlet and outlet side of the pipe and weld in a bypass pipe over the top. I would supply the correct pipe.

http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&am...

The thread above describes what is trying to be achieved, with page 8 having a couple of pics showing the finished item.

I have seen the likes of Powerflow on google, but I have heard mixed reviews of the whole franchise, but none of the Southampton one. Apparently they tried to charge alot for a small job like this, which apparently should take about 1 hour.

Has anyone had any dealings with anyone for something similar that they can recommend?

Basically anywhere between Christchurch and Southampton would be ideal really, but possibly Portsmouth at a stretch!

Cheers

Possibly not, about an hour from where I live in the Forrest.

Are they any good?

I've not used them myself, although I have used their dyno. They're a specialist exhaust manufacturer, been around for many years, so one would assume so!

Thanks for that. I will try and speak to them about it.

Any others? Good garages that do all sorts etc?

Hayward and Scott in Kent have a very good reputation doing this work. Worth the drive over.

Thanks guys. I will give Janspeed a try.

H&S are a little far away really, but will keep them in mind.

You could try Mick at torquetecnique, they are based in wilton nr Salisbury. Not the cheapest, but when I had the Monaro they deleted all the silencers for me. Think it cost about £300iirc .always got some interesting machinery.

........and they actually manufacture the Wortec exhausts commonly found on the VXR8's.

I've heard positive things about their work quality.

Thanks for the info guys.

I will order the pipes when I'm back in the UK and speak to some garages to get them fitted.
