Hi all, I've not been on here much in the last few years but now i'm the proud owner of a s2 v6.

Loving it so far. Just a few niggly issues to sort out.. Leaks being the first thing.

Booked in with Dave the Trimmer in MK for that smile

Doesn't that depend on if it's a bit of fluid getting in (character building) or all the fluids pouring out (receipt building) wink

The car does look a peach, I bet your chuffed to bits

Hello and welcome. Nice looking car (except the 'bunny ear' mirrors getmecoat )
Don't worry about the leaks, they all do a little bit. Just enjoy it.

Hi & welcome, what a shine - those tree reflections on the bonnet look amazing. ( Unless you've just been through a hedge wink )

Don't worry about the leaks, they only do it when it's wet.

If you've ever read "Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy", you'll know it's important to always have your towel.
Handy for when it's wet, & when it's dty, you roll it into a sausage to keep the rear plastic window from creasing when folded down.
Extra points for designer towels colour-coded to your trim or body colour.

Enjoy, you don't have to be mad here, but a lot of us are silly

Nice looking car & welcome to the forum wavey

I see from your profile you're in Ruislip. I grew up in Northwood Hills and still have some mates originally from Ruislip who I met at Haydon school.

Yes that is you!

I didn't realised i'd be lurking for so long! my profile is hideously out of date

Really looking forward to getting the S on the road and will definately attend a meet!? Is there one near SW London?

Fitted a new airfilter last weekend as the old one appears to have dropped off! One of the joys of ownership no doubt smile

Hopefully will tick off a few more jobs this weekend.. Being the newest toy its a welcome distraction from my other projects. The to do list..

Bonnet keeps popping open over bumps - must be an easy fix right?
New accelerator cable
New boot gas strut
New clutch

Edited my profile.. Garage and location all up to date!!

That's a lovely looking car, 1989 was a good year. wink

You'll really enjoy it.

Had mine since August and is driven quite a bit, hasn't missed a beat and still puts a grin on my face every time it's driven. smile
