Swordfish 36 is nicer and properly british but no less wildly expensive.

Prices from £286,000 inc VAT for a 27ft cuddy
absolutely ridiculous. Genuinely can't imagine who they're aiming that at.
With regards styling, definitely a "no" from me as well.
It could be worse. Have you seen the price of a Ferrari 458 compared to a Volvo estate?

And the Ferrari has less doors!!!!
Absolutely ridiculous, cant imagine who they're aiming the Ferrari at.

Agreed, that Swordfish is stunning. Are they making them again? Ari said:

If we were talking about a Riva Aquarama I would agree. But the Corsair is just a nicely finished fibre glass boat. How can it justify the price tag. I would genuinely like to be enlightened.
And a Ferrari and a Volvo are both made of metal...If you cant understand the difference between that Corsair and a Bayliner then fair enough, but the craftsmanship that goes into that Corsair (they're built by hand, take five months to build and are built in tiny numbers by Venetian craftsmen) is incomparable.
Arguably they are further away from massed produced boats than Ferrari are from Fords.
Incidentally, Rivas are GRP these days.

In part it's because they are from the same era. The Corsair was originally a nineteen sixties race boat that was then produced as a high performance cruiser. The current version is apparently, bar a few tweaks, unchanged cosmetically from the original. Obviously all the mechanicals are bang up to date though.
I think it's glorious, like being able to buy a new handbuilt Lamborghini Miura with Aventador running gear.

Pretty sure that's right. There's a feature in Motor Boats Monthly this month (hence that video), I'll double check.
But it really is a very exclusive hand built beautifully wrought thing.
Hence it is so much money. You could have a new forty foot Princess for a similar amount, and the vast majority would (given that budget).
But clearly there are a few buyers that really get it, just like there are for cars like Zondas.
And I doubt there is much of that size that would stay with it in rough weather.
Personally I don't think that there is anything in production today to touch it for sheer style either.

I think your last sentence depends more on the size of the balls than the size of the wallet But it really is a very exclusive hand built beautifully wrought thing.

Personally speaking, £286k for that boat is ridiculous, given what else is out there for the same money.
That or a Riva 27 Iseo (and save £45k). No brainer. Just my opinion. No need for any poor analogies.

The point I was making, chap, is that saying "that's too much for a cuddy cabin boat" is like suggesting that a Ferrari is too dear for a 2 door car. It rather misses the point. Chap.Personally speaking, £286k for that boat is ridiculous, given what else is out there for the same money.
