Does it matter who I get the agreement with?

I bank with Barclays, easiest to get them to do it? Or just do one online/over the phone with whoever comes up on google?

Thanks!

ETA: Just to confirm I'm on about mortgages!

What do you mean by "Does it matter who it's with?"

I'm not sure why you'd go ahead with an AIP, along with the associated credit search, with a lender you wasn't intending on using for your mortgage?

I knew I should have said it better.

I guess I'm worried that different lenders will agree to different amounts? I take it at the AIP stage most lenders will offer similar amounts?

I thought that the AIP and the mortgage application were a bit more separate. So advice is to have them both with the same lender? makes sense.

Thank you!

The AIP is the first step of the process to getting your mortgage fully agreed, with that lender. There's no benefit to get an AIP with one lender, for the sake of getting one, as you'll only need to do another with which ever lender you have finally chosen to use.
