Bike insurance

I had been thinking about taking out insurance cover to cover the bikes for theft but also in case of an accident whilst out and about, so any recommendations on insurance? I looked at the likes of cycleguard, but I see if you join British Cycling there is a discount available.

I went with cycleguard because of their triathlon specific insurance. I am covered for 3rd part liabilities on rads in training and competition. If my bike gets nicked from a transition at an event it is covered also without being locked.

Be careful to check their terms carefully. For example if you store your bike in the garage, cycleguard require it to be locked to a permanent structure using a lock with a minimum sold secure silver rating.
