And is it practical?
You see, we have the Chimaera - very nice. But have started discussing a Cerbera as well, now I love the Chimaera so there is no way that is going so we'll just have to have 2 TVR's.
I was just wondering how others in this position fare?
I'll still have a company car so lugging family around won't be a problem and we also have a 3rd car (which would become 4th car) in case of emergencies. Any advice?

Sounds glamorous huh ? But according to .Mark's profile, his other two cars are an XR2i and a Maestro VDP.. kind of throws the Tivs into sharp relief

I think that you may have serious problems ........ deciding which of the two to drive.

That said, it's one of those nice problems to have .

If you can, and you want to, DO IT.

I wonder what your neighbour will make of that if you take both to Silverstone at 3am

I am keeping my Chimaera and have just bought a Tuscan so will have the best of both worlds!!

I have a Griffith 4.3 and a Cerbera 4.2 plus a spare 4.0 V8 LR engine and a spare 4.5 V8 AJP engine. I would think in the current English weather it would be easy to decide which to drive.

Not quite as crazy a dream as some might think (OK, juice and insurance aside...) but just think ito bangs per buck...Chips at £15-20K? Early Cerbys in the low £20ks? Remember - you're getting SUPERCARS for sub-repmobile prices.
The Chimera is a loafer compared to the Cerb so you do more miles in it including the commute if nec.
Then, when the moon is full you go for the AJP powered device. Simple really. Once again, if you have the means, please...

Only 2, at one point we got up to 4 TVRs and for several years had 3.

The 4 were Griff500, modified track day Taimar, Vixen S1 and 3000M. While we had that lot we also had an Impreza Turbo (in case it rained). (I do have to point out that the Vixen S1 barely ran and the 3000M was in lego form).

The Griff500 went when my first child was born, too much money on HP for not enough use, the 3000M went, but was replaced by an ex-race Grantura Mk1.

However they all have gone in the last 6 months, to make way for a new house purchase, plus we now have child number 2 and thought just when are we going to use all these 2 seater cars.

I just thought that only 2 TVRs at a time was a bit tame!!!!

Spot on CarZee! Infact the Maestro you could sweep up and fit into a carrier bag, I keep on at the wife to get rid of it but she refuses - even after badgering me for 5 years to get rid of the Oxford!
And the XR2i owes me nothing and is a good backup car, which clocked 100000 miles yesterday. Don't forget the Vectra SRi Company car !!!
As for choosing which TVR to drive it's a no brainer really as Mrs .Mark seems to have monopoly on the Chimaera at the moment hence the query regarding 2!

100,000 miles yesterday - where did you go? The moon? I drove from Edinburgh to Basingstoke in a day once, but that seems insignificant now.

Yea! Bloody M25!
Funnily enough that 'magic' figure has been looming for some time now. Got it MOT'd last week and it had covered a whopping 1400 miles since the last one a year ago!

I have two, my cerbie 4.5 and the mrs drives the Tasmin FHC. One good bit of advice, have one you can do bits on yourself and understand. The other, when you lift the bonnet you take one look and think "oh my god where do I start!" That to me is the best of both worlds.

I've got a V8S and a Speed 12. The V8S is faster because the Speed 12 is Scalectrix

Phil - I really don't give a damn! B'Stard builder with a Transit has now decided it cool to go to work at 7am on weekend mornings, and dragging his empty (except for a shovel) fcuking trailer over the cobbles outside my bedroom window!
Look for thread along the lines of 'Have to sell TVR and other cars to pay for damages'!
