Sooo....
I bought my 3 year old nephew a cheapo drumkit for Christmas. Saw him beating on the pots and pans at the weekend and wanted to see if he could pick up the real one. Truth be told I wanted to annoy my brother but turns out he likes drums lol.
I live in an estate so can't have a drumkit myself, I get on well with the neighbours and want to keep it that way. I've looked at some electric drumkits on Ebay but I have no idea what I'm looking at. I'm not a professional drummer but I can hold a beat. I'd like to make my own drumbeats and record them to play guitar along to. £200 tops to spend. And I'd like a double kick.
So lets hear your suggestions....

Are you after a kit or a drum machine?
I'd have thought you wouldn't get much of a kit for £200.
I had a Roland TD12 for home use, which was great, but not anywhere near you budget.
Although I haven't used one I hear the Alesis DM range are ok, but again slightly more than your £200 e.g.

You'll struggle for £200, if you're extremely lucky you might get one of the low-end Yamaha kits second hand but in general they all hold their value very well.
Personally I'd look to save some pennies and look at Roland kits, had my TD8 for over 10 years now with not a single problem except a new backup battery in the "brain".

^^^This^^^Actually if you just want something to practice on, practice kits are with in your budget. I picked up a DW one for under £200 brand new. 4 pads for your hands and one for your foot which is big enough for use with a double pedal.
