gearchnages on 3200!

has anyone else nearly reversed into the car behind when trying to select 1st at traffic lights !
my only gripe is the reverse and 1st are sooo very close together and it has taken getting used to !

what does everyone think of the gearbox ?
mine is a real pain before she has "warmed" up!

Hmm, never changed into reverse by mistake to be honest! Of course the gearbox is rather 'recalcitrant' when cold, but then thats pretty usual for most powerful manual cars.

How you finding the car otherwise? Found yourself being stared at at the lights yet

Yes, its weird ! most people look when they hear the sound then they point .
must say the response has been all good. unlike my previous cars which spark certain expected drivers "styles" and situations.
most people let me out unlike before in my renaults, mercedes etc.
I think most people are not sure what the car is and this works to our advantage as cars do not tend to "tailgate" and tend to just watch the car unlike before where people try to squeeze in every gap at every given chance.
E.g one of our previous cars was a clio 172 sport 2.0 (2002 model) we had become sick and tired of the attitude received when out minding our own business.
People would cut you up, tailgate and never let you out but overnight this has stopped since owning the 3200! That alone makes driving once again a pleasure!
