Top fuel injectors
Discussion
What are you trying to achieve? Electronic injectors are great for fine tuning amounts of fuel going into the combustion chamber under given conditions. That's not really necessary with top fuel, where fuel is being poured into the chamber constantly (not just when the inlet valve is open, although more does go in at that point in the cycle). That's not to say electronic injectors wouldn't work, but IIRC they're still banned by the rules, and the current mechanical injectors and slide valve combination seems to do the job well enough, and perhaps just as importantly, it's reliable.
Just to clarify the situation with my plugs they do cost the same as everybody else's
I just don't have to pay for them
Luckily I have a few good friends Graham/ Syd / andy robinson/B&A and a few others who buy them and once they have been "used" by them and are therefore no longer any use to them (because you can't "read" them twice)
they very kindly pass them on to me. I then clean them check them and re-gap them before using them for the last time, you wouldn't want them after I've finished with them!!!
A lot of work but probably saves me about $4000 a year and I would rather have friends than money anyway.

I wondered.....ref parts, it seems a lot are US sourced (for obvious reasons), it must make running here a pain, I take it theres no Halfords for top fuel (where some 17 year old lad can get the wrong filter in about 30 seconds), do racers here have to buy in bulk? I often read on ED that parts havent arrived form across the pond, must be frustrating
