Electric wing mirrors not working Tuscan MK1

Hello All.

Just bought me a Tuscan 2001. I have had 2 before so am a little wiser to the quirks of the car. After driving it home (first time) the electric wing mirrors had stopped working, they worked upon inspection hours earlier. There is a red light on the control pad, but no control over either wing-mirrors ?

Can any one shed any light on this?

It could be a fault with the control box (see ebay Link)

The control box is located in the drivers footwell.

If not that then I do seem to remember that another Tuscan owner stripped the control pad apart and found that the buttons had gone rusty so he rebuilt it. (I can't seem to find the post of him doing it)
