Wanted 996 Turbo Cab

Hey guys, I am in the market for a 996 turbo cab and was looking to spend up to £30-32k on a car with under 40k miles. Am I being unrealistic with my budget? Saw some nice low mileage cars but they are well out of my reach at £39-40K, which for a 996 TT seems steep.
Also, is it me, or is there a lack of market supply at the moment ? Views welcome.

991V have an X50 only slightly more than your budget that I'd have a serious look at it.

You know you'd be buying a decent example from a reputable dealer.

RSJ have one, almost in budget, higher miles than you're looking for.

Keeping on the look out at the PH classifieds and Autotrader as well as ebay. Let me know if I am missing any other sources.

I'd say buy a 996 Turbo based on what's been done to it, not the mileage.

I'd go as far as to say that a 40k miler is just about ripe for the "usual" stuff that needs doing, thus you are paying more for a car that will cost you more.

There are many buyers guides to the 996TT, most info is accurate and most stuff that is a common failure point will fail at some point.

Thanks again. I've covered the buying guides from the magazines (Evo,911 ,GT Porsche etc...) so conscious of what you guys are saying. Was also going to get Peter Morgan to do an inspection first unless I am buying from a reputable specialist.
Just wasn't sure whether my budget was right and whether the supply was drying out. I intend to keep it for a while and because the interior is,shall we say, more fragile than the 997, I was looking for something with lower miles.
Unfortunately, I much prefer the way the 996 drives to the 997 as personally, I think it provides more feedback and noise through the cabin. So has to be a 996 for me.
I take what you guys are saying on board and will consider some of the higher mileage cars, but still tread with caution. thanks again - appreciated.
