Tony Corletts Last of the Evolution book!

I bought one of these books the first day it was released and found out about it from Tony direct when he was the club 3.2 sec. Just saw one and in used condition on eBay for.........£799.99! Just found another on tinternet for £942.00 with £11 post and pack, thought that was a bit strong, £11 for p and p!

Does anybody know why a book that I paid £29.99 is selling for that sort of money?? Bit confused.

I can understand why rare books become collectable, but those prices seem extreme.

It isn't, Ebay sellers insert a crazy price so you won't buy an item when it goes out of stock. So they still have the listing and the positioning active when it comes back in stock.

The stock explanation makes sense - but I wonder if they'll ever get more stock in?

This is not just ebay, the book shows unavailable across the world and is commanding less but still $300-400 in the states, OZ and NZ. Still seems crazy money, I love the book but not that much!

Perhaps those prices suggest a revised updated edition might be popular.

Spoke to Georg Konradsheim recently, and he tells me they are working on a new version of Carrera RS - and they have been known to sell on eBay for £2,000+

I know Tony, although haven't seen him for a few years, and I helped him with that book - it features my 911 Club Sport.
