Mystery Steering Wheel

Can anyone shed light of this steering wheel?
It's 18" in diameter and is thought to be off a Bentley.
Does anyone know if that's the case?

Certainly has a degree of familiarity about it, i've had a Bentley MkVi here for a while, but it's just gone back to it's owner!

Looks like the one Ive got sitting in my Austin 7 Ruby, apart from the flatish inner section.

If you are looking to sell it, advertise it on eBay as "Bentley" and wait for all the Bentleyheads to tell you yea or nay.
Of course, if they say nay, but still want to buy it ......

I pealed all the cracked plastic off the spokes then polished it, looks great , IMO !!!

I don't think it is Austin 7 Ruby. Tis similar.






Also 15" diameter. It needs to be hollow for the trafficator switch innards.

There is a very nice little specialist operation in Margate called Myrtle, yes really! They do bakelite steering wheel refurbishment, and faux wood dashboards

I have a few unknown steering wheels so it's time to re-activate this topic)







There is no mark/number on it at all, french polished, bent laminated rim, central section drastically removed. It looks like a Jaguar wheel but I don't think so...
Any idea?

It's hard to identify as the most identifiable part is the wheel hub.

It seems quite small, so I wonder if it can be from a mini, similar to this Mini Cooper wheel: http://www.steeringwheelrestoration.com/1-car-stee...

Could well be an after market fit from Momo or Mota-Lita such as this one they do for the Cobra

Back to the original posting and picture and the first thing I thought was that it looked like the one on my Silver Wraith so it could be a late 1940's to mid 1950's Bentley/Rolls-Royce one.

Thanks for your reply. The one attached seems as closest match. I haven't mentioned its dia which is exactly 15' so it's quiet big.
I don't know the word "unusable" because this one could be hung on the wall particulalry well ))not to mention it's brilliant to study its construction.

Next one's pictures are coming...
