Call me Mr piccy but I saw an ordinary Audi A8 this morning with and S8 **** number plate. Isnt this a bit of a waste. Someone out there with an S8 would proberly love to have that plate on their motor.

I also recall seeing a Vauxhall Safira with an M5 ***plate. Plates with car model names on them must be well expensive. What planet are these people on

You're Mr Piccy. (Shouldn't that be Picky?).

I had TVR932 on my wife's Escort for a year before I got round to putting it on a TVR. It's possible that the Audi owner is saving the reg for when he gets an S8 and the Zafira owner has just sold his M5 and retained the plate for future use.

At the weekend I saw a Metro with the registration NOK 4X. Now, if this had been spaced slightly differently i.e. NO K4X it would have been much more amusing. I did consider driving after her and offering her money for the plate (to go on er indoors bike!) but thought better of it. Should have done it thinking back.

Matt.

Saw a 1.6 Escort this morning, with the plate "D1JFF" (made up to read 'DUFF'). Nuff said.

My mate has a Golf Gti with the no. playe L914 VVV

That's V and another V and another V, not a V and a W.

He would make it look much better for the cost of a couple of plates but won't – what a waste!

Edited to ask hughjayteens if he has still got his Chimaera – haven't sold it have you Hugh?

Years ago, saw a horse transporter with reg BMW 318V

It seemed a bit of a waste, but then who's proud of owning a 318 anyway?

Saw a 550 Maranello on London with '550' on the reg.

Probably worth as much as the car!

There is a nice Merc here in Slough, A 560 SEC. Great plate. When I had my 500 SEC I could not manage to track the plate down.

Not sure but the house theyve just had built is probably around the 800k mark (North Derbyshire - not London btw). I read somewhere that the F1 CAR reg was for sale at 100k +, so maybe they're a bit strapped

Maybe the person bought it from DVLA for a grand and is now waiting for uncle Bernie and Ron Dennis to get into a dutch auction.

A guy who lives locally to me has a Merc E55 with the plate E55 AMG, but has it spaced E55AM G!

His name is nothing like 'Essam' (I've met him).
Didn't get round to asking him why he had a taste by-pass...

Total waste.
