Clocks back, quiet roads, sun out, and my new F430
Discussion
Since taking delivery of my lovely black F430 F1 coupe from the very nice chaps at Motion 8 cars at the start of the month the weather and work have conspired to keep me from driving it any great distance and in any sort of spirited fashion - that was until yesterday.
The perfect storm of clocks going back keeping peeps in bed that extra hour, a strong dose of sunshine beating down on the tarmac and all the other local PetrolHeads sat by their TV sets watching the coverage of the Indian F1.
It's obviously going to take time to learn the limits but first impressions are that this car is just exceptional. The speed, noise, poise and presence just transcend anything I have owned to date.
Not only that and despite receiving the 'bean shaker salute' within 500m of the Gray Paul dealership on my first ever Ferrari ride (I was in the passenger seat
)I've yet to receive any negative attention whilst I've been at the wheel - in fact completely the opposite with smiles and thumbs up prevailing.
Anyway, thanks once again to Chris at Motion8 (whose after sale service has also been excellent and a true sign, as far as I'm concerned, of his independent company's integrity) and to Richard at Meridian Finance who went far and beyond my expectations in helping to source and secure a car for me.
Some pics from yesterday;

Back home for a wash

All dried off and tucked up for bed

Many congrats and I echo all you've said. I bought my Grigio F430 coupe last week and it's all I could have hoped for. Haven't had the chance to really drive it as nature/Maranello intended, but from my limited forays out it's already glaringly obvious this is a very special car indeed.
Your car looks gorgeous, great choice - enjoy!

Many thanks for all the comments guys - nice to see so many new F430 owners out there (who said they weren't selling 'period'?) - Grigio was my second choice
Yes it's snow foam applied with a jet wash attachment - all purchased from cleanyourcar.co.uk
And the PH sticker will be adorning the rear side window when it arrives Msdes - I'll post a pic to prove it

Great car - how do you get your car wash to foam like that all over the entire car? What products / equipment are u using to achieve that consistency of shampoo??
Have you been living under a rock for the last 10 years? lol I joke of course but all you need is a pressure washer, foam lance attachment and some snowsoap. Remember is is only a 'pre-wash' used to loosen traffic film and road grime before rinsing and washing with the two-bucket method. Don't spray it on and then attack it with a sponge, like I see all these car washes doing, sure fire way to mega swirls in your paintwork!

That is a beautiful car mate, you also did exactly what I did when I got my current car..take it out for a hoon, get it all dirty then go home and spend an inappropriate amount of time cleaning it. Once clean stare at it for a good while then find any excuse to go out again.
It absolutely need a PH sticker on it!
