Could a duff 'frost sensor' cause transient EFI fault?
Discussion
As per the title really!
Seem to remember, within the last 24 months or so, that someone posted that they had intermittent EFI Fault come on the display. It would cancel easily and the engine was not affected in any way. Subsequently, they changed the frost/air temp sensor and that cured the fault?
Can anyone verify this? Can anyone indicate where the frost sensor is? I've just looked in behind both sides light 'hatches' looking for a temp sensor, but can't find anything obvious, I've also had the pepperpot grill off and nothing found behind it either.
I'm assuming the frost sensor is a separate entity to the air temp sensor in the airbox?

Thanks for replying.
In the end spoke to Gordy at STR8Six. Upshot is that there is a frost/ambient temp sensor located (he thinks) by the coolant radiator. This sensor only inputs to the 'pod' display, not the engine ecu.
The air temp for the engine management is the one located on the airbox top half.
