Not sure why but the "Brilliant condition" somehow puts me off. Not used to a top dealership using this description.

I don't think it has a warranty either - it has warranty wise which isn't worth the paper it is written on?

Seems about £3k cheaper than I would have expected.

Any info on why Tom Hartley is "a shame" would be appreciated.

No worries.

Dealer aside, that looks like a very competitively priced turbo?

Tom Hartley were excellent to deal with when I bought my DB9, spent the day down there and even got a little shot in a Veyron they had in. Very much enjoyed the experience and the car was perfect

I've used Warranty wise with my Maseratis over the past few years. I've had a few claims in that time and each one was dealt quickly and efficiently and with no quibbles.

Indeed, the chaps at H.R.Owen made a point of telling me how easy Warrantywise were to deal with compared to most other warranty businesses.

Just goes to show, each individual's experience can be completely at odds with another's.

Went to buy a Mercedes from them 10 years ago
car advertised with leather and 1997
when I arrived they collected me from the station took me to the bank to get cash not a draft
then showed me the car

Had Vinyl not leather trim, and 1996 not 1997 as advertised in the sunday times, so no ABS, 4 owners not 2, part main dealer part specialist with a gap and not the full Mercedes history as advertised.
Told me I was a time waster
cost me £50 to get a taxi back to the station,
moderate sized bungalow, 3 Alsatian's roaming like lions
showroom with 4 cars in it
father and son in shadow of each other because father cant read or write
secretary phoned for taxi, I was frog marched to the front electric gates feeling very vulnerable with £11,000 in cash in my jacket.

I have been

3 Veyrons
2 x F40
1 x 458
1 mura

plus 20+ other high end cars.

todays stock looks amazing also as listed.

stock all looks very well looked after and very well detailed.

his house looks amazing also.

I was treated very well even though I did not buy the car in the end.

I would have no issue buying a car from them.
Prices are always lower than others also.

Seems OK, especially from a dealer (dealer reputations aside)

( nerd Although it's got the wrong front valance... )

Think I remember an interview with Tom Snr. some years ago where he said he wasnt really a car guy but loved the deal . Would have thought you have to be bit of a petrolhead in that type of business ?? are the sons petrolheads ?

Apparently Tom Hartley Jnr has been running the show for some years now. Tom Snr is definitely "old skool" - but also approachable and a bullsh*t free zone.

TH Snr kicked off the business some 30-35 years ago (maybe more?) sourcing the latest "flash" cars for people who weren't prepared to wait but were happy to pay for jumping the queue.

Their business model has served both them and many delighted customers well. They score highly on repeat business, and are well connected in both customer and dealer circles. Somehow they can source the most difficult to find cars very quickly. Obviously not everybody's experience may be 100% - but that will always be the case in a high value service orientated business.

This is where is have to admit my bias -- i bought a trade-in Z3M Coupe "blind" on the phone back in 2004 after scanning their infamous Sunday Time advert. It was exactly as described and i felt as well treated as somebody viewing the Enzo parked along side. Overall, a very positive and memorable experience :-)

Would not worry too much about that, I have replaced mine with the standard turbo one, as the aero kit one was always catching and eventually came off wink

Dealer aside - and I know it's a big aside.

What would be a good fair price for the car - does it look cheap, average or overpriced?
