What is the general opinion on these. IMHO I think they look a bit tacky, and would certainly get them taken off if I bought a Ferrari with one on (or buy a Ferrari without them). Isn't it overegging the omelette? Or are you just wearing your 'Scuderia Ferrari' heart on your very red metal sleeve?

Hi Domster,

I actually like the Scuderia shields but only on a certain car. I don't fancy them on a Spider, but find it tasteful on a red, blue or black GTB. I only like the proper ones, which are brass and embedded into the panel (the panels are different and you would need to change complete panel to fit/remove proper shields).

I was given some Ferrari aftermarket shields which are much better than some of the cheap sticky on crap that you see around a lot. Those really are nasty. But even the proper ones I have are not good enough and so I wouldn't attach them.

I think this is entirely subjective. I like them, and have them on the 456. I would have liked to have them on the 360 too, but like Ninja, wasn't prepared to use stick-ons.

IMO they look great - previously only the F50/F40/288GTO used to carry them (out of the modern Ferraris).
At £900+ as an option they're a little expensive (I understand that they come with an indented wing panel to fully recess them!) but look great for example on a Rosso 550 and just fill those wing areas out better. I love 'em.
They go particularly well with the "PROPER" (IMO!) Ferrari colours Nero/Rosso/Giallo.

I am told that over here in Sweden they are a 50,000-SEK option or in real money £3500- , i love them its a bit of motoring heritage and you dont see this very often, any way whats the difference between this or any other badge .

I think the proper brass recessed ones would be quite good on the right car, as has been said here. Vinyl stickers on old 308Gt4s may be less classy.

yep, the enammelled shields recessed in to the wing look the total mutts nuts

the raised sticker versions are 100% very very naff, slightly better is the flat stickers, but still 65% naff.

still dont have a fezza any more so what can i say, certainly wont be sticking a pair of Porker shields on the cabs wings

Someone once told me that the shields are always fitted to special edition models F40, 288GTO, 348GTC etc. Cannot remember whether this was a dealer or an owner where this came from. Anyone confirm whether this is true ?
