P800 form

I've just come home to receive a nasty shock that apparently I owe the tax man quite a chunk of money.

On further investigation I think they've ballsed up the sums.

In the Tax Allowances section I don't have a figure.

Then in the Income Tax chargeable section I've got an amount at 20% and an amount at 40%...these two figures equal my total pay for the year.

Am I right they've messed this up?

Thanks for the offer but it's all sorted.

They'd not calculated my personal tax allowance so their calculation was saying I should have paid a lot more in tax than I did. However when you plug back in the personal tax allowance the figures balance and I'm not going to be poor.
