SPD MTB shoes

I've just ordered some SPD pedals for my mountain bike (Shimano M530's), and now I'm looking for some suitable shoes. Don't want to spend a fortune, as I'm not sure yet how I'll get on with SPDs in general, so looking up to about £60. I prefer the more casual looking types, that don't necessarily look like cycling shoes, what would you recommend? Is weight important? Is a velcro strap? Like the look of these

and have found these Mavic Alpine at about £60

but the reviews mention that the cleat is situated further back than normal, 'care needs to be taken when fitting'. What would this mean?
Cycling would be mainly xc trails, with a bit of road if that makes any difference.

DHB M1 from Wiggle are pretty good for the money, I've used them in all wether and the velcro straps are fine. Sure better shoes have ratchets and things that make them secure but the M1s are fine. You can walk in them pretty easy, the soles are very good actually, stiff enough for good riding, flexy enough to walk around in and being mostly plastic, are easy to wash and keep looking good. As nice as the 661s are, once they are covered in crap after a wet, muddy ride they will look awful. IMHO what you have found are too close to a regular shoe than a mtb shoe. The soles will most likely be flexy and the laces will not keep them secure or provide you with a good close fit.
