Is there a policy for the classification of numpties?

We all know (and loathe) the bolt-on-boy type numpty, but this morning on my pootle to work I encountered the "Mother in a Megane scenic with three screaming kids" variant.

There I was, pootling along in a 30mph zone, obeying the speed limit to avoid the revenue earners (gatsos), when a Megane Scenic sotrms up behind me, main beams and fog lights on (it's a pleasant top-down sort of morning), who then proceeds to make several attempts to overtake me (to the disbelief of myself AND the on-coming traffic)...

Finally, she goes for it, but to the extent that I have to take some evasive action to avoid her taking the front end of the car with her... and then I get the middle finger!

Somewhat astounded, I witnessed the poetic justice of the gatso taking a picture of her a bit further down the road.... ... seems they have a use after all.

So my question is Pistonheaders... what do we call this type of numpty?

I think we might need a term for judgemental hot-hatch owners with advanced 'miserable old git' syndrome

Ah! I thought this species of numpty was only local to Edinburgh. Only in Edinburgh have I regularly seen people (including me) sitting at 30 or 35 in a 30 limit being overtaken usually by rep mobiles or MPVs.
