My girlfriend has just purchased a new Samsung TV. It has built in Freeview, but when tuning it only finds 9 channels:

ITV
Channel 4
Channel 5
ITV2
Channel 4 +1
More 4
Film 4
E4
ITV +1

Any ideas why? The downstairs TV and my girlfriend's old TV both had Freeview boxes which picked up all the channels without any issues.

Your TV is only finding 1 multiplex - PSB2

Enter your details here and you will get the details of what type of aerial you need and where to point it.

Are you using a cheap lead from the socket to the tv?
I have done call outs before where the new 50p lead was killing over 70% of the signal.
Did the old freeview box work on that socket?

The old Freeview box works (still does) on the socket. I suspect it's the cable that's ruining the signal as I rotated it in the socket and it picked up all the BBC channels instead of the ones I previously listed.

The girlfriend picked up a gold coax cable from John Lewis the other day, but our wall sockets are 'F' type, so I'm going to buy a convertor and see if that works.

Thanks for the help guys.
