Protech shock absorbers? Ride height/settings?

Tuscan shocks. Do you have protech shocks? If so what are their diminentions and how are yours set?
Did you just ask for dampers, and supply you own springs, or ask them for a full set of springs and dampers, what did you ask for regarding springs, or the use you were going to put the car to.I don't use protechs on my cars right now, but have done in the past, I sell protech shocks and have done for about 8 years and I'm usually cheaper than going direct to protech themselves, plus I have my own drawings for their tvr dampers that they're not allowed to sell to anyone else.

Might be a daft suggestion, but my protech's are different length front and rear and spring poundage ....fitted them the right way?
Yes they are ;D I did have that thought before I posted on here and checked
They are the right way round. Gonna take some measurements tomorrow and check with an expert. I think the spring is too short but I'll find out soon I hope. When I was buying replacement springs for my Griff from Faulkner springs we got talking about some spring extenders. These are additional low poundage springs which fit between the spring seat and your existing spring to ensure that the spring remains seated at full damper travel, maybe they could be an option for you to consider?

They should be, or mine had to be, to be fitted correctly
No issues with that
I was a 350 and 400.Centre of Gravity set mine up after (there is a thread somewhere) and comments were very positive, no issues.

The spring length won't make any difference to the spring deflection per unit load applied though, that's governed by the rate of the spring only. If you fit a shorter spring of the same rate or a longer spring of the same rate you will have the same issue just with the spring platform at a different height.

A very relevant question but not answered.....be interested to know.I bet it's the damper and not the spring as spitfire has intermatted...protech are a good mid range damper but they do fanny about. I had a good few issues getting the dampers sorted for the race car,in the end they finally listened to what I was asking for a supplied the specBuzz
